about

The first demonstration/unveiling of the potential music of Shastik Cret Menagerie.

A note from my politics teacher regarding the purport of the phrase "anti-borinigity":

We are in a time of boringity, a time of revolutionary stasis. This is because we are told (passively or actively) that we can not and/or that it is not our responsibility to change anything in the world (for better or worse). We are told that the ability/responsibility for change lies with ever-changing governments or the economic 1% and we accept this because it is easier for us to blame others than blame ourselves. However, we must remember: government's are legitimate because we vote; the 1% are rich because we gave them our money- whether we were tricked is irrelevant: we granted them power. By accepting our responsibility we are also accepting our ability to cause change (e.g. we do not have to give money to the 1%). We can end boringity through action, so long as our actions are changes in themselves.

For more information it is recommended that those interested view Adam Curtis' recent documentary series 'Can't Get You Out of my Head'.

This album was also released as a limited run of 7 cassettes, which were bought from Oxfam and re-dubbed using technology as advanced as masking tape. There were 4 cover variants.
